What is Leasing-Check?

Leasing-Check is a neutral industry solution to quickly verify service eligibility and contract status in bike leasing – directly in the workshop workflow.

Retailers can instantly check:

• whether a leasing contract is active

• whether services can be billed

• available budgets for inspection and wear & tear

The query is handled via a standardized interface – independent of the leasing provider.

Current situation in retail

In daily operations, workshops often need to access multiple provider portals to verify whether a service can be billed via leasing.

Typical challenges:

• different provider portals

• lack of transparency on budgets

• time-consuming processes

• uncertainty in service decisions

Leasing-Check addresses exactly these issues.

How does Leasing-Check work?

1. The retailer enters an email address or contract ID

2. Leasing-Check queries connected leasing providers in a standardized way

3. Results are displayed in a unified format

4. Optional: direct link to the provider’s portal

The solution is intentionally simple and designed around real workshop processes.

Depending on the provider, additional information or direct links to provider portals may be available.

Prototype

Leasing-Check is currently in an early implementation stage as a prototype.

The goal is to jointly establish a practical, industry-wide solution together with retailers, leasing providers, and software partners.

The current prototype demonstrates the core functionality and serves as a basis for feedback and further development.

Leasing-Check is a joint initiative by DiBike and Zukunft Fahrrad – with the goal of establishing a unified, open standard for the bicycle retail industry.

The objective is:

• a standardized interface across all leasing providers

• easy integration into ERP and retail systems

• no dependencies or lock-in

Initiators of the concept

The initial idea and first conceptual approaches for Leasing-Check were developed in close collaboration with retailers and system providers and further refined through exchange with market participants.

Further development takes place within the open industry initiative led by DiBike and Zukunft Fahrrad.
